Visioning Committee announces design contest for new banners

The City of Monona will soon have new metal banners gracing light poles in the community, and you have the chance to help design them.

The Monona Community Visioning Committee is inviting community members to submit design ideas that could be used on the banners, which will be hung on the city’s downtown streets.

Designs should be stencilized and in black-andwhite. They should depict scenes that depict what the Monona area (recreation, farming, etc.) means to artists, can include the word Monona and do not necessarily need to be of a specific local landmark. They should fit signs that will be 22-inches wide and 36-inches tall. They can be any shape, though the left side must be straight and vertical.
