Local beef producers feed school students

The Clayton County Beef Producers were on site at the MFL MarMac school to cook hamburgers for the elementary and high school on Friday, May 5, 2017.

The students were led outside to receive their hamburger and enjoy the nice weather. The meat was from local beef farmers in Clayton County and was prepared in local businesses like Quillen’s.

After the students were fed, the Clayton County Beef Queen and Princess gave presentations to the second grade classes. They told them about the different types of cows and how much care goes into them.

The classes were then quizzed on the information and then decorated cow shaped cookies.
