Board OKs baseball, softball field improvements

The MFL MarMac School Board last Monday OK’d a plan presented by Superintendent Dr. Dale Crozier for improvements at the School District’s baseball and softball diamonds.

The plan involves burying the dugouts at both diamonds as well as installing a concrete pad that fans can use for their lawn chairs and new bleachers.

“We’ve been talking about this for a long time,” Crozier said. “We have to do something about the dugouts because we’ve had a couple of situations with a couple of area schools, not to go into the details, but some foul balls got into the dugouts and we’re trying to be proactive.”

Crozier said it would be possible to do something inexpensive by simply putting fencing in front of the opening or it could do something to make the facilities nice.
